Making of

This is our first short film, for it I used only free and open-source software like Blender, GIMP for textures and image conversions, and Krita early drawings.
I always had in mind the idea to make a short film with Blender, I was lucky to have Nathan helping coming up with both an original story and the main character’s design, my friend Joseph on the other hand helped me rig the caterpillar’s model, along with advices during the production. Some assets were already made, like for example the trees from our Real Trees assets pack, but I still had to model the microscopic pebbles, leaves, the rest of the forest and the characters.
Production took something around 4 months, it was a nice experimental journey to accomplish a short film from start to finish.
