Making clouds

It has been 8 years since the release of my first sky add-on Real Sky.

Today I’m proud to present Sky, a sky and clouds generator!
This time I worked on a completely new system, using the latest Blender 5.0 technologies, ranging from the new volume scattering nodes to the newly introduced SDF geometry nodes.

The system works by generating an Earth atmosphere with layers for clouds, using real-world dimensions and physically accurate materials.
The clouds are made using procedural shaders, which means they can be animatable in time, unlike the often used static HDR images.

I’ve studied and searched for real-world data in order to obtain the materials, dimensions and shapes of the clouds and atmosphere. And I hope you find this system useful 😊, start having fun with the clouds!
