Blender Conference

Written the 30th of October 2019

Amsterdam

This year I really wanted to attend the Blender Conference of October 😊, so I went to Amsterdam with a friend and see it!

Until now I’ve never seen Amsterdam, so landing on it was a joy, but little did I expect it was going to be one of the awesomenest experiences I’ve ever had.

Conference

The venue was Compagnietheater, located at the center of Amsterdam, and it hosted almost 600 people during the conference.
The talks by artists and developers were impressive and well made, having them last 3 days was insane, and you always wanted for more.

Meeting a lot of people was awesome, it’s like I already knew many of the people at the conference just because I used to watch the production videos Blender shares.
Seeing how big the Blender community is was heartwarming 😊, there were so many artists and developers with different careers and jobs, it was really inspiring seeing them in real life.

The studio

After the 3 days of conference, we were invited to visit the new studio building in Amsterdam Noord.
Ton, the Blender CEO, brought us through inside the building to see the workstations of artists and developers, it was incredible and interesting seeing how they set things up inside.

I’ll never forget the experience I had during these days at the conference, and it feels good knowing there are so many talented and kind people around the world.

You can read more about the conference in this Blender post.
